Michael Davies Speaks at CFTE During UK Fintech Week 2026 on Building AI-Ready Financial Systems
Nextvestment Founder and CEO Michael Davies took the stage in London on 22 April as a featured speaker at “Building AI-Ready Financial Systems: How Singapore is Preparing for the AI Era”, a private evening session hosted by CFTE (Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship) as part of UK Fintech Week 2026.
The session took place at Canary Wharf, London. It was a small, invitation-only session for senior decision-makers, with participation from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), bringing together senior leaders across financial services, regulation, and AI.
Michael was joined by Raymond Moh, CEO of iCOMPASS, Jefferson Sun, APAC CEO of xBanker.ai, and Agnès Bastaert, Head of Global Affairs and Strategic Development (Europe) at Ant International.
The session examined what real AI implementation in financial services actually looks like today. Beyond strategy and frameworks, the focus was on how AI is being applied to solve concrete challenges across institutions – from compliance and risk to customer experience and operational efficiency.
Michael shared what Nextvestment has learned deploying AI inside regulated wealth institutions, and why the hardest problem is rarely the AI itself.
